Terms of Use
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These terms apply to Vymote: TV Remote Control (“Vymote”) for iPhone and Apple Watch, made by NEMESIDA SMART DATA LTD, Theofilou Georgiadi 3E, Agios Athanasios, 4103 Limassol, Cyprus (“we”, “us”). By using Vymote you agree to them and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies.
What Vymote does
Vymote controls smart TVs on the same Wi‑Fi network as your iPhone: Samsung smart TVs (2016 and newer), LG webOS TVs, Roku TVs and players, and Android TV and Google TV. iPhone has no infrared, so TVs without a network connection can’t be controlled. Which features work depends on your TV model and its software; TV makers can change their software at any time.
Vymote is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Samsung, LG, Roku or Google. Samsung, LG, Roku, Google TV and Android TV are trademarks of their respective owners.
Vymote Pro
The basic remote is free. Vymote Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that adds the sleep timer (the first one is free), casting, the keyboard and TV apps, widgets, Siri, Apple Watch and more than one TV.
Prices in US dollars (the App Store shows your local price):
- $5.99 per week (3 days free)
- $29.99 per year
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
- You can manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period stays active until it ends.
- If you are offered a free trial and don’t cancel before it ends, the subscription starts automatically. Any unused part of a trial is lost when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Fair use
Use Vymote only with TVs you are allowed to control. Don’t try to break, reverse-engineer or misuse the app or the services it relies on.
The sleep timer and turning the TV on or off
The sleep timer runs in Vymote on your iPhone and needs Vymote open; if iOS stops the app, the TV turns off as soon as Vymote is opened again. Turning a TV on over Wi‑Fi works only with TVs that keep their network on while off. Don’t rely on Vymote where a TV must turn on or off at an exact time.
Liability
Vymote is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for problems caused by your TV, network or the TV maker’s software. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
